From the cotton field to the wardrobe
Have you ever wondered how many hands touch a T-shirt before it ends up in your closet? In this post, we'll take you on the journey of our jonboy clothing – from the cotton field to your home.
Production conditions
Ensuring fair production conditions is one of our core values at jonboy – that's why we selected our production partner with the utmost care. First, we held numerous discussions with production facilities in various countries. After choosing a partner, we also visited the facilities ourselves to verify the conditions. Our chosen production facility is ISO, BSCI, GOTS , and Sedex certified . Now, let's continue with the journey!
Organic cotton from Turkey
It all begins in the cotton fields of Turkey, where our organic cotton is harvested. It is then spun into yarn and processed into high-quality fabric – all within the region to avoid long transport routes.
Dyeing & washing for the perfect fit
The fabric lengths are then dyed in a dye works in Istanbul. A large part of our sustainable production takes place in Turkey: from cotton cultivation to spinning, weaving, dyeing, and sewing. We then handle the printing and embroidery in Austria. This allows us to keep our supply chain short, transparent, and environmentally friendly.
Cutting, sewing & quality control
After dyeing, the fabric is cut and the individual pieces are carefully sewn together. Each garment is then ironed and undergoes rigorous quality control – because we want you to enjoy your favorite piece for a long time. All these steps also take place in Turkey, at our production partner's facility in Istanbul .
From Istanbul to Salzburg
Once the clothing is finished, it will be on its way to Austria. A truck will transport the pieces directly from Istanbul to us in Salzburg, where they will have one final stop.
Refining in the sheltered workshops
Before the products are available in our online shop , one last, very important step is required: the finishing touches. These are applied with great care and attention to detail in the sheltered workshops in Salzburg . The garments receive their signature jonboy designs through screen printing and embroidery . Storage & Shipping
The time has finally come: the clothing is being stored with us and is waiting to embark on its final journey. As soon as we receive an order, everything will be packed and shipped by us.
