🌿 Our responsibility: Sustainability at jonboy

For us, sustainability means taking responsibility – for the people who make our clothes and for the natural world from which their materials come. We value a conscious approach to working together: fair working conditions, environmentally friendly processes, and products created with respect – for people, the planet, and the future.

🧵 Design & Production

All patterns and designs for our garments are created by our small team in our office in Salzburg. Production then takes place at our partner factory in Istanbul , which we have personally visited and inspected. It's important to us to know the working conditions – and who is behind each and every piece.

The production process is ISO, BSCI, GOTS , and Sedex certified . The fabric, made from Turkish organic cotton, is knitted directly on-site, dyed in a nearby facility, and then sewn into garments. Only when everything is perfect do the finished pieces make their way back to Salzburg .

🧵 Textile finishing

All prints and embroideries are created in our sheltered workshops in Salzburg . There, our designs are implemented with great precision and care. GWS products are also GOTS-certified – a leading global standard for environmentally friendly and fair textile processing.

This ensures that every step of our value chain remains transparent and traceable – from the fiber to the finished product.

📦 Storage & Shipping

Once the textiles have received their final touches, they are stored and packaged directly at our office in Salzburg . Each package is assembled by hand, wrapped in recyclable tissue paper , and shipped in a paper mailing bag . Our packages travel with Austrian Post – reliably, regionally, and in an environmentally friendly way.

🔄 Returns

We want to avoid unnecessary shipping and therefore ensure clear, honest size and fit information. This keeps our return rate very low . Should an item be returned, it will be inspected and – if possible – put back on sale .

Items that come back imperfect find their place in our "Oops" category . This way, every piece remains part of the cycle.

💚 Oops – second choice, same values

If a piece isn't perfect, it doesn't end up in the trash. In our "Oops" category, such items find a new home as seconds – carefully crafted, but with minor imperfections that can occur when products are made by real people.
